Duplicate of shares

Is it required to publish a advertisement in newspaper regarding loss of share certificates before issuing duplicate shares in case of shares having less than market value Rs. 10,000.

If so, please also refer to respective guidelines/clauses.

Share trading Problem

A person is doing share trading business. He is not a broker nor he does any share broking business.

this person trades over phone or internet through his home.

Now the society is raising objection that the person is making commercial use of his property. Pls note. This person is not having any board on his flat. Further the person carrys business on his personal name no, firm etc.

How should the person deal with the society.

1) Purchases and sells shares after holding
it for less than a year.
2) Keeps certain shares for more than
a year and sells certain shares.
3) Also makes intra day transactions (i.e.
Purchases & Sells the shares in the same
day)
4) Also does derivative transactions (i.e.
Purchases and sells Futures and Options
Transactions.)
5) Please provide me the section and related case laws available.

prashant ltd. is intending to acquire substantial shares in gvk ltd. to acquire control in the company.the beta factor of gvk ltd. is 1.60 and its current market price is rs.190. the company is consistently paying an annual dividend of rs. 46. the risk free market rate of interest is 12% and the rate of return expected on such securities in the market is 18% .you are required to value the shares of gvk ltd.?

cost of equity

A company hasnt declared dividend since last 3 years.it doesnt have debentures as debt instruments. Can anyone please guide me in the following matters:
1. how to find out the growth rate?
2. how to calculate the cost of equity from its balance sheet?
3. what should be the cost of debt if the company has only secured loans as debt?

It is very urgent!!!
Can anyone provide me the Guidelines issued by erstwhile Controller of Capital Issues, in case of unlisted shares which is required for making a fair valuation to a closely held company.
This is required for me urgently because a Foreign National wants to transfer the shares to resident indian in a closely held company during his visit to India.
Please also give me the link for the guidelines.
