Valuation of stamp duty on transfer on property

21 February 2012 A person held a property jointly with his daughter, now a daughter share of property can be taken as gift to her father by documented gift deed.
please clarify the rate of stamp duty payable, & also on market price or cost price. & the same property will be sold after the lapse of 3 year period.

21 February 2012 The rate of stamp duty in this case will be levied on mraket price prevailin g on the date of transfer. Moreover, subsequent sale of this property has nothing to do with this present rate of stamp duty.
