I have submitted my Income Tax Return and form 16 to Income Tax Office Tambaram. Acknowledgement Receipt Number: 114523, Date: 04-08-2010
They have sent the refund to my old address, and the same is returned to the tambaram office on 09-01-2012. For this i have attached online statement.
And then i have submitted a request letter with my current address proof to tambaram office on 27-03-2012. I waited for some time with no response from the income tax office.
After that i have sent a complaint to IT Ombudsman on 21-05-2012, For this i got a reply from Ombudsman on 28-05-2012 stating that i have to make a complaint to Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Tambaram.
After that i have submitted a written complaint to Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Salary Range, Ward I-(1) on 13th of June 2012.
Waited for a month with no response or reply or TDS refund, So Again i wrote a complaint to IT Ombudsman requesting for TDS refund.
Answers i would like to know from you now
1. Will the Ombudsman take my case this time, is there any chance to reject my complaint now, since i have approached him for the same reason before.
2. If he rejects what should i do next?
3. In my last letter to Ombudsman i didn't mentioned that i need refund amount with interest. Will they send the refund with interest? If yes, then at what rate of Interest?
4. I have mentioned that refund it directly to my account, and also provided my account details, can they send it directly to my account or not?
Thanks in advance, i would like to know answers, please reply.

you can file a greievance addressed to the Chief Commissioner of Incometax concerned and state the facts of your case. Definitely, you will be received your refund, why because, the CCIT has to submit a compliance report on greievance to the board every fortnightly. Definitely your problem will be solved.
Thanks for you immediate reply, please let me know should i make a complaint immediately or can i wait for the reply from Ombudsman. And also please let me know about the Interest rate for TDS refund
Thanks for your response, Income Tax Ombudsman took my case and sent letter to Income Tax officer, mentioned that he should reply within 30 days either he should release the tds refund or else the reason why it could not released.
After the letter from the Ombudsman, the sleeping people from the income tax office suddenly woke up and raising questions to me in a threatening manner.
In 2009, from April to june i worked in private concern and i worked there only for 3 months. After that i resigned that job. When filing the ITR, i have submitted my bank statement, in that they can clearly see my salary details for above said period.
Suddenly joint commissioner of income tax called me and threatened me saying i failed to submit the earnings for the above said period april to june 2009.
And also he asked me to write and letter and give it to him.
As per his request i already wrote a letter and gave it to him.
My salary for that period is below 13,000.
I also mentioned him i have submitted my bank statement, in that you can clearly see those details.
Now My Questions are
1. Why they didnt asked the same question when they released tds refund for the firt time.
2. This time am appealing only because of my change of address. I have a doubt that only because i went to Ombudsman they are screwing this case.
3. Is there any chance that they can stop the tds refund?
4. Is there any chance that they detuct for tax for the above said period, i confirm that my earning were below 13000 at that period.
