TDS of FDR Int.

30 December 2008 If the TDS is not deducted on int. on FDR for the first two quarters as the threshold limit was not exceeded, whether the TDS on int. is subsequent quarters when the exemption limit is exceeded should be deducted including the earlier escaped amount of interest.

31 December 2008 Section 194A says as and when the aggregate sums payable during the financial year exceeds Rs 10000/- tax is to be deducted on the entire amount.
