Taxability of leave encashment for filing of return

25 July 2018 Our co policy is it grants 27 days leave in a year. If it is availed then ok otherwise on 31st march amount is paid for the leaves which are not availed during the year.
In this case if an employee resigns in Nov 17 then leave encashment received for the period Apr-Nov17 is taxable or not?
