10 February 2010 As per my advise maintain hard copy of all the registers.

Avoid soft copy and print out system.

Others views solicited.

10 February 2010 well in my opinion we can keep the statutory register in soft copy and after printing on legal paper we can get it certified by the directors, later on we can bind them.

Regards

10 February 2010 please let me know if any legal back up to support maintaining registers in soft is available

Thanks

10 February 2010 The then Department of Company Affairs opinioned that registers can be kept in loose leaf form. Pl refer Taxmann's Circulars and Clarifications,1992 edition page 328.

12 February 2010 My view is that Soft Copies can be maintained but there should be a policy of timely printouts and certification by the authorised persons.
