07 March 2019 I have 1000 shares of dena bank at a cost of 60 rs
Now on merger of dena bank with bank of baroda i will be getting 110 shares of bank of baroda
How will i calculate loss on it
Is allottment of bank of baroda shares for dena bank shareholders taxable

08 March 2019 Such allotment is not taxable. Calculate loss or gain when you sell 110 shares of Bank of Baroda. The cost will be the purchase cost of Dena bank shares of 1000.

For how many years i can carry it forward
Are there any conditions to be satisfied for carry forward


08 March 2019 You can carry forward for 8 years subject to filing ITR within due date every year.

Full value of consideration 10000
While filing itr 2 in column 4B lower of fmv or full value of consideration was to be mentioned as 10000 but by mistake i took it as zero
Though it does not affect loss figure and filed the return
What should i do
will the return be defective
