05 December 2009 service tax is payable only by service provider if his services rendered is more than 10 lakhs by collecting from service receivers. if services turnover is not more than 10 lakhs he is not liable to pay. in case of lic the service tax is paid by lic which is payable by service provider(agents)
if lic choose those persons whose turnover is not more than 10 lakhs to get out of paying tax is it valid?
