Sir I want to give rent to my mother. Property is jointly held by father and mother. 1. Can I give rent only to my mother for her support.? Y or N. 2. Can I give rent of Rs.30000/- . What will be the consequences of it. I am an individual and not having TDS No. Pl advise the ways how can I show. Regards

Yes you can give rent to mother , Upto 50000/ pm Payment made by individual to land lord tds not applicable for individual case for resedential purpose.
