sir my query is that can minutes book of board meeting and Annual General Meeting be maintained in loose leaf form. if yes, then in what section and in how many days it should be bounded.

Minutes of the Board meetings, if maintained in loose-leaf form, should be bound at intervals coinciding with the financial year of the company. Minutes of other meetings, if maintained in loose-leaf form, should be bound at reasonable intervals. There should be proper locking device to ensure security and control.

The Department of Company Affairs in its 5th Annual Report has expressed its view on Maintenance of minutes in the loose-leaf form, & allowed the same on the conditions that other procedural requirement of section 193 is complied & at the same time company should take all possible safeguard against manipulation or interpolation and bound up the loose-leaves in books at reasonable intervals, say sixth months.
