Regarding ipcc registration

This query is : Resolved

07 February 2013 I passed CPT, dec 2012. Now to register for IPCC, I have a query regarding the "ARTICLES". Actually while filling the application form, i came across an option of registering for both the groups (1 and 2) alongwith or without "ARTICLES".
Now, what is this "articles". Is this somehow related with the articleship which we have to undergo after passing group 1.What consequence i might face(IN FUTURE) if i register myself widout "ARTICLES"
Someone plzzz clear this doubt of mine( althogh it might sound silly to many people).

07 February 2013 Articles is about the Three year practical training under Chartered Accountant in practice. The eligibility for joining articles is passing either Group I of Intermediate(IPC) or Both the groups of Intermediate (IPC).You will have to complete Orientation Program and ITT before joining Articles.

08 February 2013 But my doubt is, what's the difference between registering with the articles and widout the articles.
what problems(if any) i might face if i dont register register the articles

08 February 2013 its just about fee that icai is going to collect.
if you have registered with articleship then you have to pay extra amt as registration fee.

Then after passing grp1 of ipcc when you fo for registration for ca articleship then you need not pay fees as you have already paid.
if you register without articles no such consequences.. except fee collection by icai in advance
