    Dear Shivaji Sir, I have been following your posts and replies for quite a while now. Here's my query: Can I pay rent to my dad, who inturn lives in a rented accomodation. I pay him a rent of 44k, he in turn pays a rent of 22K. The difference of 20K can we show that as income from other sources for him?. He has a PAN and currently does not earn any income. The income from other sources would be 2.4 lakhs and that would not be taxable for him (i.e. senior citizen) Do you think this would be a safe option?. This will allow me to enjoy the entire HRA exemption of 42K. Thank you sir

    in that case.... we recd amt of sale proceeds.... main q....who will liable for tds...recd payment after comm...not allow to deduct comm.....who will responsible for tds ?????
