1. Open th excel File. 2. Go to File and click Save as. 3. In save as window click on Tools> General Options. 4. It requires password. Enter ur passsword and save the file in the desired location.

Even u can go for 1. tools menu in excel 2. security 3. give the password to open n modify 4. reenter ur password 5. save ur file 6. close it
