19 June 2018 dear sir ,

it is shown in form16 by employer

but i m confused where to show exempt amount in ITR . which section is applicable under sec 10

19 June 2018 Show the net amount in ITR
For eg- Salary excluding medical allowance100000
Medical allowance - 10000

Show 100000 as salary

Note: Maximum medical allowance of 15000 is allowed

20 June 2018 Reimbursement by employer towards medical expenditure incurred by the employee upto Rs.15,000 is an exempted perquisite as per section 17(2)(v) of the IT Act,1961. There is no specific column in form ITR-1 to show this amount.
