Hi,
Is it mandatory to maintain registers like Daily Stock Account, RG 23 A, 23C manually under Excise rules or can an assessee maintain these records in Computer like in excel and take print out thereof and get them signed from authorized person on monthly basis?

Mandatory registers have gones years back. Excel sheets also fine.But to be maintained on daily basis.

Need any permission to be taken if a company is maintainint them manually till now but shifts to computerized recording now or any intimation to be provided to Excise deptt? Pls reply.

yes, just inform range supertendent, we are going to maintain record on computer instead of manual record.
