08 February 2025 No, TDS is not applicable on the issuer fee and annual fee paid to CDSL (Central Depository Services Limited). According to the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) in Hyderabad, these fees are not considered "technical services" and therefore are not subject to TDS under Section 194J of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
