Is it legal to deduct er pfcontribution from an ee salary?

25 September 2014 Sir,

I have recently joined a company and in training period which is about to end up.while joining pf deduction was not there.but now they have introduced PF and that too WHOLE 24% deducting from employee salary.Request you to tell me is it legal? If no, then what action can be taken? Please reply me as soon as possible. I have not yet signed appointment letter.

25 September 2014 IF THEY ARE deducting then there has to be some legality backed by it so need to see that.

25 September 2014 Ok sir..thanks .. is there any way out to escape from it? because they made me agreed on the given salary on the basis that there will be no deduction ..and i have not yet signed appointment letter. and likewise it will make my inhand very less.what can be the possible wayout?its already a good amount of time i spent in training.i left other options too.m really sad.plz help :(

you can refer this link as there was recent ammendment.

25 September 2014 It is legal to deduct only 12% from employee and 12% has to be contributed by employer.
