TAN is needed for individuals or entities who are liable to deduct tax at source (TDS), collect tax at source (TCS), or who are making certain payments under the Income Tax Act. Apply Online through NSDL Website Go to the official NSDL website for TAN: NSDL TAN Application Portal Choose the ‘Apply Online’ option under the TAN section. Fill out the TAN Application (Form 49B) with required details like the applicant's name, PAN, address, and nature of the business. Verify the details and submit the form. You will be required to pay a processing fee online. Payment options include debit/credit cards, net banking, etc. Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt with a unique 14-digit acknowledgment number.

First you need TAN number and second for registering in TRCES should have filed Tds return for that. Get Tan Number, deduct TDs and file TDs quarter return then you can registering with TRACES.

Procedure for registering with www.tdscpc.gov.in
Step – I Visit www.tdscpc.gov.in and click on Register as Tax Deductor or Go to https://www.tdscpc.gov.in/app/dedregs1.xhtml to register;
Step – II Fill out the requisite details and your Login Credentials and click on Create Account
Step – III On clicking of Create Account a confirmation screen will appear in order to validate the inputs correctness, in case amendment is required to the data displayed in the confirmation screen, edit option may be chosen
Step – IV On confirming the data, the account will be created an activation link and codes will be sent to the applicant email id and mobile number.
