1 yes 4 shops can be opened in a single name of proprietor. 2 yes 4 shops can be operated with single GST number if its within the state. Other shops can be included in the single registration as other places of business.

Thankyou for the reply sir. For sole proprietor , a bank account in the name of shop has to be open. My question is that for 4 different pharma shops, do I need to open 4 different accounts in the name of 4 different shops or just one account will be required?

In the first reply you have mentioned " Other shops can be included in a single GST number with other place of business". Please clarify what is other place of business.
