Form 15H for Senior Citizen in case of Rental Income

01 March 2021 Sir, one of our client is having a rental income of Rs 450000/- PA. He is a senior citizen. As per Sec 197A (1C) will TDS be applicable if he furnishes Form 15H to the deductor.
Is 15H applicable in case of Rental Income

01 March 2021 * TDS will not apply if form 15H is furnished.

* 15H is applicable to rent. But ,before submitting 15H make sure that the tax on total income including the said 4.50 lakhs is NIL, otherwise the declaration in 15H will go wrong.
