As per filing system now in vogue post efiling system ,you should submit Form 15G at the time of assessment if called for.If the AO disallowes the interest claimed file application u/s154 for rectification along with form 15G. You will know this after you receive order u/s 143(1) from AO.

The deductee has to prepare Form 15G in duplicate and give it to the deductor for non deduction of Income tax.
05 June 2009
It is to be filed within 7 days from the end of the month in which it is received with the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.
