Exam Eligibility..

This query is : Resolved

25 October 2008

A student's 3 years of articleship training will complete in Nov, 2009.....as per which he is eligible to appear for Final exams in May, 2009 (as per old scheme)...but he has already taken excess leave which entitles him to serve for a period of 6-7 seven months after the completion of training...

My question is...if he is eligible to appear in May, 2009 exams or considering the excess leave period,he will be eligible for Nov 2009 attempt...?

26 October 2008 Seems to be a marginal case. For a correct answer, date of article ship registration and number of leave days is required.

30 October 2008 Hello Sir,

actually i just want to confirm if excess leave is also considered for the purpose of 2years completion of articlehsip..?

31 October 2008 The articled trainee who has taken leave in excess of the period of leave to which he is entitled under Regulation 59 shall be required to serve for a further
period equivalent to the excess leave taken by him,in accordance with Regulation 58.

13 November 2008 thats fine sir, but my question is if the excess leave period is also considered for the purpose of exam eligibilty..

i.e. say a student's attempt is due in Nov, 2008 and his articleship completes on Nov, 2009 but due to the excess leave taken by him he is entitled to continue his articleship till may, 2010 then will he be eligible to appear in Nov 2008 or May 2009(considering the excess leave period)...!!!!!

18 November 2008 If anyone can clarify please...!!!!!

16 January 2009 He can appear. Then he can extend.
