18 November 2010 actually i filed using Fill ST 3 and submit it and it showed status as filed.

so now also compulsory to submit with concerned Deaprtmnet

18 November 2010 Agree .

After submitting his Return, the assesse should wait to get an acknowledgement on his computer screen, of having successfully filed his Return.

He should then print a copy of the same as proof of having filed his return.

He should be advised to quote the Computer generated number of the acknowledgement in all his future correspondence with the department on this return.

18 November 2010 Not compulsory to file with department.

18 November 2010 Not required.

18 November 2010 In my state,Kerala, the department is asking to file hard copy of e-filed ST-3 copy having a marking "Filed".
I complied ,for want of a specific clarification ,by way of notification / circular from department regarding the procedure.
