E-filing of service tax return st-3

30 October 2011 Plz let me know is it mandatory to file ST-3 Return manually to deptt. after filing online as there is no provision to sign the return digitally while uploading/ filing it online !!!!

30 October 2011 No it is not required to be filed physically after filing online

30 October 2011 There is no clarity whether any physical copy is required to be submitted to service tax office once the ST-3 return has been successfully uploaded on ACES.
On experience it is found that certain officer's ask for hard copies whereas few other's don’t ask for any physical copy at all.
