Disqualification of director u/s 164(2)

16 December 2017 As per Provision of Section 164(2), any company fails to file Financial Statements or Annual Returns for a continuous period of 3 Years, then all the directors of that company is disqualified to act as a director in all companies in which he/she was director and also can not be reappointed / appointed in any other company. And also as per Provision of Section 167, the place of director became vacant.
So, my question is Whether the company is required to file any Form ?
Whether Director can continue as a director or have to step down from the office of director ?

If any form is required to file, then Please mention which form is required to file ??
