Is there any ammendment in the act that AO can not allow the deduction under chapter VI-A when same is not claimed in the return

AO will only act upon the return.If chapter VIA is not claimed he will not allow. No such amendment and no need also.

AO can allow only there is a revised return or there is a supplementary submission of the claims.
