Date of Aggrement Or Date of Possision or Date for Registery for capital gain

31 July 2023 I had purchased a Resedentail plot in resale in 2011 . I was givien the Physical possesion of Plot in 2015 by developer . Registry for the plot was done in 2016.

Now i am selling this Plot now.

What date (year) will be considered as Purchase date while calculating Capital gain.

31 July 2023 Whether you received any allotment letter in 2011?

31 July 2023 Sir no allotment letter but developer has mentioned the date and amount in registry of plot that when we had entered in plot buyers agreement with developer mentioning 2011 as year


31 July 2023 Physical evidence is required.
On safer side take possession date as Purchase date..

31 July 2023 Sir I arrange duplicate allotment letter from the developer will I be able to take 2011 as purchase date

31 July 2023 When you started payment? How much? Must be through banking mode?

31 July 2023 Sir 90% payment was done at the allotment only one Installment left was done at the time of possession. All done through cheque only.

31 July 2023 If the allotment letter is perfect, you can take its date as 'right in the property' as asset.
