25 January 2018 One of my friend has deposited (Rs. 30,000/- + Rs. 49,000/- + Rs. 49,000/-) = Total Rs. 1,28,000/- during 09/11/2016 to 30/12/2016 (During Demonitrisation). When he filing ITR for AY 2017-18, there is a column, (Cash deposit during 09/11/2016 to 30/12/2016 [If cash deposit during the period >= Rs. 2 Lakh].

Is it necessary to show Rs. 1,28,000/- in that column?

Or Either He can put Zero (0) in that column? Please give your expert advice
