I want to know whether brokerage charges paid on purchase and sale of shares is available as deduction while calculating capital gains

Brokerage paid for purchasing shares can be added with cost of acquisition of shares. Like wise brokerage paid on sale of shares can be deducted from the sale consideration being expenditure incidental to sales.
