Can a small company hold more than two Board meetings in a year ? And gap between two Board meetings should not be lass than 90 days as per provision of section 173 must be complied with in such case also where company keeps four Board meetings in a year ? Kindly clarify the provisional requirements.

Yes, minimum 4 board meetings required in a year. Every company shall hold the first meeting of the Board of Directors within thirty days of the date of its incorporation and thereafter hold a minimum number of four meetings of its Board of Directors every year in such a manner that not more than one hundred and twenty days shall intervene between two consecutive meetings of the Board:

Thank you sir , but in case of small company, Dormant company OPC , as per relevant provision it is said that 1 meeting in each half of the year will comply the requirements of section 173 about Board meetings. But gap between two meetings should not be less than 90 days. In such case more than two meetings can be held with less than 90 days gap?
