06 August 2010 can belated return be revise?

one of my client found some probblem in return of a.y.09-10 which was filled on 15/07/2010 i.e. belated , and has revised the same return online . web site allowed him to revise the same . today he got the receipt for the same return.

plz clarify the position of law

06 August 2010 no, belated return can't be revised.
if online it is accepted, it is void-ab-intio.

06 August 2010 Filing of revised return is not allowed for a belated return. The following case law may also be referred.
