17 May 2018 i want to know whether autitor is reuired to keep book of account of client in his own records

17 May 2018 An auditor is required to maintain audit evidence of having conducted the audit and of collecting sufficient evidence to substantiate his audit opinion. So all necessary documents should be retained by the auditor. This may include books of accounts also.

19 May 2018 Auditor need not keep books of accounts of clients after completion of audit, but can keep copies of the same as audit evidence.
