18 August 2012 MY CLIENT IS BASED IN BANGALORE....I WANT TO MAKE AN APPLICATION TO CCIT & CIT FOR TDS REFUND...CAN U PLEASE TELL ME HOW ARE THEY DFFERENT AND WHAT ARE THEIR POWERS....WHAT ARE THE MONETARY LIMITS AND UNDER WHICH SECTIONS OF THE IT ACT,1961 DO WE NEED TO APPLY/APPEAL ? HOW WILL I GET THE NAMES OF THE JURISDICTIONAL CIT & CCIT ?

19 August 2012 Right person will be the Ombudsman. Neither CIT nor CCIT. Grievance is better addressed by Ombudsman.
