How does it make any difference. When you make the payment to the transporter you have to deduct the TDS

WHEN YOU PAID AGAINST TRANSPORT BILL EVEN YOU PAID LUMPSUM OVER RS.20,000/- YOU HAVE TO DEDUCT TDS...BUT IN THE END TOTAL PAYMENT & TDS% WILL BE SAME % OF DEDUCTION
W.E.F 1.10.09 TRANSPORTER SUBMIT ITS PAN THEN NO DEDUCTION IN CASE OF NON SUBMISSION THEN 20% DEDUCTION.
