Dear Sir,
My client is dealing in Exempted Item, ie., RICE;
1..Whether he is liable to RCM for the inward Freight Payment?
2..If he is liable and pays RCM by cash, how can he retrive the paid amount, since his sales are exempted, not liable to pay any Tax on his sales?
Pl clarify and oblige.

1 Transport of rice is exempt from GST hence reverse charge not applicable.

Transport of rice by GTA is covered in exempted list. So, same is not taxable.
