can a CA who is in employment under a CA firm
apply for certificate of practice and he is
also receiving remuneration from the firm

As per Councils of ICAI decision, A CA employed in a CA firm will be deemed to be CA in Practice but for limited purpose ,he can not certify and attest any documents in capacity of CAip.
SO you can very well apply for COP.

Professional ethics Sec 2 - member to be in practice It is written in author's note : " IF A CA is employed with other CA/CA Firm then he will deemed to be in practice for article training." this line is creating confusions.. kindly help urgent thank U
