Interest on partner capital

Hello dear experts As per partnership deed have to pay 12 interest on partners capital but in the presence profit is not enough to pay as deed par 12 so can we give 3-4 interest to partners capital on basis of financial position of the firm?

You can do so if the deed provides so in the case of inadequacy of profit.
