Income-Tax has different status for assessment of different persons. Individual is one of such status and HUF is also another status for Assessment of total incomes.HUF will have a separate nucleus.A person may be taxable as an Individual in his capacity and he may also be a karta of HUF.In that case, HUF will have separete PAN , different from that of Individual PAN.
