31 December 2009 Please need a notification on FBT on perquisit. - Is there any tax implication on reimbursement of Car Maintaiance, Petrol allowance

31 December 2009 Hiii....

Yes, According to new rules of Motor Car perquisites/amount provided by the employer to the employee will be taxable in the hands of the employee, according to New Perquisites Rules....

If Car owned by the Employee and All Expenses Provided by the employer then taxability will be as follow:

=Amt. Received from Employer - Rs. 1800pm*

*Note: Above formula is based on assumption that car is upto 1.6 litre capacity and no any amount provided for chauffeur.

For more clarification please provide other information.
eg. That is petrol allowance or reimburement and is there any expenses borne by the employee. etc.

You can also check in New Perquites rules files in INCOMETAXINDIA.COM
