Extension of time up to 15.10.10 for corporates IT e-filing

27 September 2010 Dear Friends / Experts,

Please see the last sentence of the Income Tax Order [F.NO. 225/72/2010/ITA.II], dated 27-9-2010 regarding Extension of Time till 15.10.10.

Accordingly the due date for Tax Audit report u/s. 44AB of the Income Tax Act is also extended to 15th October, 2010.

Query

Is it that for NON-TAX AUDIT CORPORATE ASSESSEES, the due date is up to 30.09.10 or 15.10.10 ?

Please confirm / clarify the position.

Emphasis may be given to first sentence. According to the first sentence, extension to cases falling under those assessee's mentioned in second sentence is also being granted meaning thereby extension is applicable to all assessee's whose cut off date is 30/09/2010 irrespective of the tax audit requirement.
