E filing (ITR-V)

Delay in furnihing e-filling(ITR-V) acknowledgement with department. Will it atract penalty provisions? Please answer as early as possible.

IF THE DELAY IS > 15 DAYS THE E-FILED RETURN WILL NOT BE TREATED AS A RETURN FILED. ACCORDINGLY THE RELEVANT PENALTY PROCEEDINGS WILL ATTRACT.

In case the acknowledgement is not filed within 15 days, a new return is to be filed. Original return filed will be treated as not being filed.
