Now is it compulsory to E-fill to Get DIN no? & Digital signature of Applicant is Mandatory?

26 March 2011 DIN has to be generated electronically and hard copy of DIN form has to be filed to MCA DIN Cell ,Noida. Approved DIN is mandatory to file e-forms with Ministry of corporate Affairs. At least one person either applicant in case of incorporation stages of new companies or Director in case of existing companies should have a valid DIgital Signature Certificate.

27 March 2011 The rules have changed now. New DIN 1 application form is uploaded on the site now. There is no need to submit any physical copy. Salient features of the new rules are as follows:

1.If eForm is digitally signed by a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CWA) or Company Secretary (CS) (in whole time practice), then upon successful submission of the eForm, approved DIN shall be generated.
2. If eForm is digitally signed by any other signatory (i.e. other than a CA/ CS/ CWA (in whole time practice)), then upon successful submission of the eForm, provisional DIN shall be generated. Upon processing of eForm DIN1 by the DIN cell, DIN shall be approved.
3. There shall be no requirement for physical submission of the documents at the DIN cell. All the necessary documents shall need to be scanned and attached in the eForm and submitted online.
