21 October 2013 is benefit of indexation is allowed in case of short term capital gain or in case of depreciable assets??

21 October 2013 No Indexation befit is allowed only in case of long term capital gain...
That is.. If the Asset {other than share and security} held for 3 years..

In case of shares and security it must be held for 12 months..
