08 September 2014 A friend started filing ITR online since ay11-12. last manual filing was done in ay10-11.

In the manual filing years, his PAN is wrong (due to some typing error one "E" letter has been misspelt as "F").

In 2013, he had got a demand notice for ay10-11. He had replied that his PAN is wrongly mentioned and there is nothing pending from his side.

Now, his online account is showing a demand notice for the same year (ay10-11).

What is the way out?
