while making e-payment on behalf of my client , by mistake i made the payment entering the TAN and Name of a different assessee.Is there any way to correct the error.

I think all u can do now is to pay again for ur client on whose behalf u want to pay the tax & u should ask that other client to pay u that amount back as the same can be claimed as refund in the return of income.
