Withdrawal of money from bank acc without the nominee

24 August 2014 sir my cousin grandmother died an year back,she had no children &stayed with us throughout her life,she had no nominee for her bank acc.Please suggest a way to withdraw the money from her acc and close the acc.

24 August 2014 You have to make death claim with bank. If the amount is high then you may need to obtain succession certificate
