25 July 2011 I had paid excess vat last year 09-10, now i want to set off this Vat with current vat payable.

25 July 2011 can b done. but check have u shown the excess amount in last year return, if not then revise the return to show the excess tax paid. (Pl. check the time limit for revision of return in ur state.)
