Vat on furniture

if a company registered in chennai is not dealing in furniture but company buys furniture for their office use only and later on if company sells the same furniture to other party then should the company charged output tax on sell of furniture?

You may refer to the judgement of karnataka high court viz. Cineplex and Kwality biscuits of 2012. NO VAT in my opinion.
