My client is charging VAT @ 12.5% on AMC in Purchase Order where the spare part to be supplied later during AMC period can not be identified at the the time of making Purchase Order.. is it a correct practice??

Mr. J mondal, It is work involving labour also. Therefore charging 12.5% on the whole value is not corect.There may be some goods chargeable with 4% vat also.So,you insist on charging on the value of goods at the applicable rates only,which will be benificial to you. MJK
