23 September 2011 hi, i want to know whether VAT is applicable on fabric like suiting, safari suit etc and if yes, at what rate.

23 September 2011 Miss Reena,
Fabrics,i.e.textiles in length such as saris,suiting,shirting and dhotis are exempt from VAT in all states.
